Terms of Use
Last updated: March 2026
TL;DR
OrionPod is an individual, open-source project — not a company, not a service. It's provided as-is, for free, with no warranties or guarantees. Use it at your own risk, have fun, and don't blame us if your GPU melts. 🫠
What OrionPod Is
OrionPod is a personal/individual project that provides a desktop application for running AI models locally on your machine. It is not a commercial product, not backed by a corporation, and carries no legal obligations, SLAs, or support guarantees.
Use at Your Own Risk
OrionPod is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind — express or implied. This includes but is not limited to:
- No guarantee of fitness for any particular purpose
- No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation
- No guarantee of compatibility with your hardware or OS
- No guarantee that AI model outputs will be accurate, safe, or useful
You are solely responsible for how you use OrionPod and any models you run through it.
No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author(s) of OrionPod shall not be liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential — arising from your use of (or inability to use) OrionPod. This includes data loss, hardware issues, or anything else that might go sideways.
AI Models & Content
OrionPod is a runtime — it runs models, it doesn't create them. The AI models you download and use are subject to their own licenses and terms. You're responsible for:
- Complying with model licenses (e.g., Llama, Mistral, etc.)
- Any content generated by models you run
- Ensuring your usage aligns with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
Open Source
OrionPod's source code is available under its respective open-source license. Your use of the source code is governed by that license. These terms apply to the use of the compiled application and this website.
Changes
These terms may be updated occasionally. Continued use of OrionPod after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll keep things as simple and human-readable as possible.
